Camden Lock Market
Famous for its international street food and an eclectic selection of arts and crafts.
Camden Lock was Camden’s first market and London’s original shopping destination for arts and crafts. Today it encompasses a colourful mix of temporary and permanent lets with a strong focus on artisan goods, designer makers, arts, collectables, jewellery and a world famous international food market. Positioned in the West Yard, this busy outdoor food market offers a diverse and exciting array of award winning street food sourced from around the world. The site is in excess of 48,000 sq. ft. and has around 250 stalls, more than 50 retail units, 20 workshops and studios, and five food and beverage outlets. The group has full planning permission to redevelop Camden Lock Market even further, adding another 37,000 sq. ft. of NLA.
Mark Alper, Market Tech’s Group Property Director said: ‘We are not just gaining an iconic market, but a world renowned brand and great traders, retailers and management team. Our aim now is to look at long term regeneration of the markets whilst taking a holistic approach to Camden Town as a whole. We intend to continue the current planning process for Camden Lock Market as part of our long term plans and extensive investment in the town centre.’
